Know what to expect before you talk

How Our Network Works

Request an estimate

Who will I actually talk to?

You will talk to an independent local provider. These are separate businesses that work with homeowners in the Gurnee area. Ciaawkward Tree Service is the referral service that helps you reach them.

There are no staff profiles on this site, because the people doing your tree work are the providers themselves.

What happens after I send a request?

Here is the usual flow:

  • You share details about your tree and your yard.
  • A provider in our network follows up.
  • They may ask for photos or want to visit.
  • You get a written quote to review.
  • You decide whether to hire them.

Timing depends on the provider and the season. Many providers can respond quickly, but ask about their schedule.

What should I ask a provider?

Bring a short list. Here are good questions:

  • Can I see proof of licensing and insurance?
  • What is included in the quote? Cleanup? Wood hauling?
  • Will the stump be ground, or left in place?
  • How will you protect my lawn, fence and roof?
  • What equipment will you use?
  • How long do you expect the job to take?

Write down the answers. Tidy notes make it easy to compare quotes later.

What records should I keep?

Keep your photos, your notes and every written quote in one folder. If a storm caused the damage, also keep dated pictures and any messages with your insurer. Ready before the estimate saves you time.

Am I in control?

Yes, completely. You can ask questions, compare quotes and say no. There is no obligation to hire anyone. If something feels unclear, pause and ask again.
